Kelly Staudt (Senior Advisor of Natural Resource Economics)

Mr. Staudt is a highly motivated Senior Executive, results-oriented leader and team builder, with extensive operations and general management experience and diverse knowledge and experience in international marketing and client relationship management. He served as an account executive at BC Hydro, EDS Canada, an HP company. Mr. Staudt provided leadership and utility industry experience to an international team of professionals, preparing an $800 million Smart Metering and Infrastructure proposal to BC Hydro. Having served as Vice President of Transmission and Distribution at SaskPower, he provided vision, leadership, strategic direction and effective management of all transmission and distribution operations. The business unit had $2.2 billion in fixed assets, annual operating budget of $83 million, annual capital budget of $125 million and human resources complement of 1,100. As Vice President and General Manager of Customer Services at SaskPower, he ensured the primary focus of the business unit was directed towards customer relationships and innovative customer solutions. The business unit had $1 billion in annual revenue, annual operating budget of $32 million, annual capital budget of $5 million and human resources complement of 300. Mr. Staudt has also served as Acting President and Chief Executive Officer at SaskPower, Vice President Investments at Crown Investments (managing a diversified commercial investment portfolio), and President COO, at VP Finance, SaskTel International.
