David Hsieh (Chief Advisor of Asia Politics, Media Relations)

David Hsieh has spent his career researching and reporting on politics and current affairs. Being the eldest son of our founder, P.C.Hsieh, D. Hsieh has spent the past 30 years in Beijing, China, as well as having worked and studied in Japan for 5 years.

With PhD studies in political science at the University of Chicago, he has worked in both North America and Asia. He spent nearly a decade working as Beijing Bureau Chief and correspondent for Asiaweek – a TIME-Warner subsidiary at the time – before transferring to Senior Correspondent at the respected Singapore Straits Times. Mr. Hsieh has held positions such as China Executive Member, Foreign Correspondents’ Club of China, as well as Broadcast Monitor at NHK Broadcasting Center, Tokyo, Japan. He has attended the University of Chicago, York University, McGill University, the University of Regina, Rikkyo University, Osaka University, Aoyama Gakuin University, the Beijing Language and Culture University and Peking University.

大维先生从事研究和报道国际时事工作,是公司创始人之长子,谢先生近30年来一直在北京工作,他曾在日本留学和工作过5年。因在芝加哥大学做政治学博士研究,谢大维先生在北美和亚洲都工作过。他在亚洲周刊杂志编辑部-华纳时代子公司工作近10年,任北京分社社长和特派记者。后调任知名新加坡海峡时报资深记者。谢先生曾任中国外籍记者站中国执行委员,日本东京广播协会广播中心监督主任。曾就读于以下大学:芝加哥大学、约克大学、麦吉尔大学、里贾纳大学、立教大学、大阪大学、青山学院大学、北京语言大学和北京大学
