Dr. Pei-Chih Hsieh

Dr. Pei-Chih Hsieh, Co-founder (Deceased 1997)

A world-famous Chinese North American scholar, historian and social activist, Dr. Pei-Chih Hsieh founded the Global Bridge Corporation. Being a leader in the overseas Chinese circle, his heart always remained with his home country. He promoted the China-Canada friendship, and his impressive merits were extensively reported by international media and publications.Dr. P.C Hsieh initiated the signature campaign of restoration of the seat of P.R.China in the United Nations. He led the North American Chinese and Friends to petition the Canadian government to establish diplomatic relationship with the People’s Republic of China. Dr. Hsieh crossed the Pacific Ocean fifty times since as early as 1972, and advanced the China-Canada exchange in the areas of culture, science & technology, agriculture and trade. He is one of the Founders of the Canada-China Friendship Association and helped more than 300 Chinese students & scholars in Canada. Dr. P.C Hsieh graduated from the Dept. of History, Taiwan University, completed his MA and PhD in History at the University of Pennsylvania, and was a visiting scholar at McGill University. A Professor in History, he taught at the University of Regina since 1965 until retirement.

Wang Yuanxun

Yuanxun Wang is a co-founder of the Global Bridge Corporation. He is the General Manager for The Asia Pacific Group (Canada) Ltd. in China and the Special Project Manager with the Beijing Capital Group (www.bjcapital.com).

Mr. Yuanxun has served in integral managerial positions with many companies, such as CCG Trade & Development Corp., KaiLi Machinery Imp/Exp Corp., Shandong Textiles Imp/Exp Corp. and the China Light Industrial Products Group. He was also the Dean of International Affairs & English Language Dept. at Taian Teacher’s University from 1984 to 1988.

Mr. Yuanxun’s appointments include membership to the Chinese Students & Scholars assoc., University of Regina, the China-Canada Business Association (BC chapter), and as a delegate for the 4th Chinese World Entrepreneurs Association. Mr. Yuanxun has attended the University of Regina, Columbia University, the University of International Business & Economics (UIBE) Beijing and the Shanghai Foreign Trade Institute (www.uibe.edu.cn).

John Reynolds (Chairman)

Mr. Reynolds’ career includes substantial experience in venture capital development, resource sector development and elected political office, both federal and provincial. Mr. Reynolds served as a Member of Parliament of Canada, 1972 – 1977 and 1997 – 2006 and also as leader of Her Majesty’s official opposition. John served as co-chair of the successful national Conservative Party campaign for the January 23, 2006 federal election, in which Stephen Harper was elected the Prime Minister of Canada.

His career in the private sector has included directorships on the boards of numerous public companies, including Calibre Mining Corp., Oriel Resources Plc, Rusoro Mining Ltd., Oceanic Iron Ore Corp, and Terrane Metals Corp.

Mohamed Ibrahim (Vice President, Chief Operating Officer)

Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim has 30 years of experience working in diverse sectors, and specializing in finance and the commodities industry. Holding a degree in business administration and international trade from the Algonquin college in Ottawa Canada, he has worked extensively in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, resulting in a truly diverse global career. In 2000, Mr. Ibrahim was appointed by the United Nations as a head of delegate to Libya. He has served as Managing director for Mas Contractors Group LTD in Italy office in Canada and CEO / For Interstandart Finance Consulting Ltd. Co in (Turkey). He has also worked in the natural resource industry, with Cochran Oil. Due to his global career education, Mr. Ibrahim is effective internationally, for industry project with broad contacts in both finance and the commodity industry.

Wang Shihong (Director of China Relationships)

Mr. Wang has been actively involved with Global Bridge predating its incorporation. As program officer at the All China Youth Federation (Communist Youth League), Mr. Wang was entrusted to liaison withDr. Hsieh and Mr. Patryluk in 1991. Mr., Wang was instrumental in the appointment of Mr. Patryluk as the Canada Advisor for the Chinese Young Entrepreneurs Association (CYEA) in 1999 and still actively participates in the CYEA. Mr. Wang retired from active duty of the CYL in 2002 to work for China Life Venture Capital and Venture Capital Union China Subsequently purchased a majority stake in Beijing Senior Secretary College and has grown the education service platform at an annual rate of 25% per annum. In 2007, BSSC purchased the storied Huangpu University skills training franchise Mr., Wang is the Co-Chairman of the Secretary Association of China and is a renowned educator in office management techniques throughout China.

William T. Patryluk (Managing Director and VP Business Development)

Mr. Patryluk has been doing business in and with China since 1993 and enjoys a vast guanxi (relationship) network within the People’s Republic of China. In 1999, he was appointed as Special Advisor on Canada for the Chinese Young Entrepreneurs Association of China, (www.cyea.org.cn ). He is an Honorary Professor at Jinan University, Liaocheng University. Mr. Patryluk’s extensive work in China is exemplified in his various positions; Foreign Affairs Consultant to the China Youth & Children’s Research Center (www.cycs.org ), China Youth Center for Internatinal Exchange (CYCIE) and the China Youth Publishing Group (www.cyp.com.cn ) and the China Publishers Association. He is a co-founder of The Sino Energy Consortium (Canada) Limited. Mr. Patryluk is also a partner in the following companies: NCE Mining Group, CCG Trade & Development Corporation, CCG Capital & Energy Partners Inc., Stone of Heaven Luxury Jade Products Ltd.; Western Canadian Advanced Automotive Technologies Inc.; TKK Energy & Resources Inc. He is the founding and current President of the Canada-China Friendship Association of Greater Vancouver.

潘椿乐（董事总经理兼业务发展副总裁）

Daria Katic (Senior Advisor of European Relationships)

Ms. Katic `s entrepreneurial career started in Europe in 1988 and in North America in 1997. She has a degree in Health Science. Ms. Katic has been a public speaker for over 30 years for corporations such as YWCA, VSB and Revenue Canada, to mention a few. She founded Dartua Skincare Corporation based out of Vancouver, Canada and New Jersey, USA in 2006.
Ms. Katic is a consultant to public and private organizations in North America, South America, Africa and Europe. She is focused on aligning opportunities, funds and resources via international business and political connections.
She is actively engaged in development and financing in the mining industry and is currently working on several Projects in West Africa, and South America.
Ms. Katic is also a lead Project Manager in renewable energy industries and is overseeing projects in HPP and Solar in CEE.

Joe Zhao (Chief Financial Advisor)

Mr. Zhao was responsible for the corporate finance, financial analysis and project management of the M&A deal flow at GBC and CCG. With significant exposure to both China and North America, he contributes his financial expertise as well as bridges the different regimes. Mr. Zhao has 15 years of commercial banking, risk management, financial analysis, equity research, consulting and leadership experience. He has been a Financial Analyst and Equity Analyst in Canada with extensive financial modeling and company valuation experience. He has significant experience as a commercial banker in China with experience in Trade Finance, Syndicated Loan and Project Financing and branch banking management; has a record of zero-delinquency. Mr. Zhao holds a Masters in Finance degree (Master of Financial Risk Management) from Simon Fraser University, and became a CFA charter holder in 2012.

赵宏翔 (首席财务顾问)

赵宏翔先生负责环球桥咨询公司和CCG公司的公司金融、财务分析和兼并与收购

David Hsieh (Chief Advisor of Asia Politics, Media Relations)

David Hsieh has spent his career researching and reporting on politics and current affairs. Being the eldest son of our founder, P.C.Hsieh, D. Hsieh has spent the past 30 years in Beijing, China, as well as having worked and studied in Japan for 5 years.

With PhD studies in political science at the University of Chicago, he has worked in both North America and Asia. He spent nearly a decade working as Beijing Bureau Chief and correspondent for Asiaweek – a TIME-Warner subsidiary at the time – before transferring to Senior Correspondent at the respected Singapore Straits Times. Mr. Hsieh has held positions such as China Executive Member, Foreign Correspondents’ Club of China, as well as Broadcast Monitor at NHK Broadcasting Center, Tokyo, Japan. He has attended the University of Chicago, York University, McGill University, the University of Regina, Rikkyo University, Osaka University, Aoyama Gakuin University, the Beijing Language and Culture University and Peking University.

谢大维 (亚洲政治及媒体关系首席顾问)

Garrett Lambert (Senior Foreign Affairs Advisor)

Mr. Lambert is the Managing Director of GLI Associates Inc. Between 1968 to 1997, he spent his career as a foreign service officer in the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT) (www.dfait-maeci.gc.ca). One of Canada’s highest ranking diplomats and public servants, Mr. Lambert has held several senior positions in Canada, including Assistant Deputy Minister for Corporate Management and Chief Financial Officer for DFAIT (1990-94). He served as Director General for Trade and Investment with the USA during the establishment of the Free Trade Agreement (1985-88). Mr. Lambert has had many ambassadorial appointments included Hong Kong during its return to China (1994-97); Malaysia (1988-90); Nigeria and Sierra Leone (1982-85). He served as Commercial Counselor in Poland and East Germany (1975-78); West Germany (1971-74); and Iran (1969-71). Mr. Lambert has been an advisor to the President of University of Victoria, University of Canada West and sits on the advisory committee of several Victoria charities.

Kelly Staudt (Senior Advisor of Natural Resource Economics)

Mr. Staudt is a highly motivated Senior Executive, results-oriented leader and team builder, with extensive operations and general management experience and diverse knowledge and experience in international marketing and client relationship management. He served as an account executive at BC Hydro, EDS Canada, an HP company. Mr. Staudt provided leadership and utility industry experience to an international team of professionals, preparing an $800 million Smart Metering and Infrastructure proposal to BC Hydro. Having served as Vice President of Transmission and Distribution at SaskPower, he provided vision, leadership, strategic direction and effective management of all transmission and distribution operations. The business unit had $2.2 billion in fixed assets, annual operating budget of $83 million, annual capital budget of $125 million and human resources complement of 1,100. As Vice President and General Manager of Customer Services at SaskPower, he ensured the primary focus of the business unit was directed towards customer relationships and innovative customer solutions. The business unit had $1 billion in annual revenue, annual operating budget of $32 million, annual capital budget of $5 million and human resources complement of 300. Mr. Staudt has also served as Acting President and Chief Executive Officer at SaskPower, Vice President Investments at Crown Investments (managing a diversified commercial investment portfolio), and President COO, at VP Finance, SaskTel International.

Maurice Hladik (Senior Advisor of Agricultural Economics)

Mr. Hladik has extensive Canadian and international business experience in the USA, Germany, the UK, China (Beijing and Hong Kong), Thailand, Vietnam, and South Korea. He is effective in a host of settings including involvement with senior bureaucrats, elected officials in many countries, prominent members of the global business community and others including farmers. He is a holder of MSc. in Agriculture Economics, UBC; Certificate in Transportation Economics, Northwestern University; and a BSc. in Agriculture Economics, University of Alberta. Mr. Hladik is the author of the book “Demystifying Food from Farm to Fork.” In recent years, his primary focus has been on food, agriculture and renewable energy issues. Previously, he served as the CEO of Aboriginal Cogeneration Corporation, and the Director of Marketing at Iogen Corporation Canadian Foreign Service. His assignments have included: the Senior Canadian diplomat posted to many countries directly responsible for or managed those related to the food and agriculture; Chief advisor to the Canadian government on international grain and oilseed policy and marketing issues; Secondment to the Canadian International Development Agency as Director for Asia, Industrial Cooperation Division.
